In July 2002, Alexandra "Ally" Zapp was murdered by a repeat sex offender who had recently been released into the community. It was out of this tragedy, and in her memory, that The ALLY Foundation was created to identify evidence-based solutions to manage sexual offenders and promote community safety. Our mission is to prevent opportunities for violent sexual offenses and to create public awareness to change the culture, attitude and legal policy about sexual violence.
The ALLY Foundation is a National organization focused on systematically linked, effective and evidence-based solutions for sexual violence. It is the vision of The ALLY Foundation to continue this informed approach to guide policy makers and the legal system toward developing effective local and national strategies to significantly reduce and eventually stop known sex offenders from re-offending.
